M pinstripe

My M5 has the thin tricolor pinstripping-about worn off. Anyone have a lead on replacement. Appears the factory tape is NLA. Its damn hard to match the motorsport colors in my opinion.

find a local pinstriper who can re-do the stripes by hand (unless they are thick stripes).

Use this info to match the colors:

Pantone Process Blue (100% Cyan)

Pantone Reflex Blue (100% Cyan + 72% Magenta + 6% Black)

Pantone Warm Red (100% Magenta + 100%Yellow)

That's what I did. It's actually pretty amazing it's all done free hand.

BMW only produced one M Technic decorating stripe for the E28 (Part number: 51 14 1 930 870) but it is large and hardly discrete. It is commonly assumed that the smaller tri-color decorating stripes were OE(M) parts but they were simply dealer-installed accessories that varied in style.

That makes sense, since all three of my stripes are onle 1/4" wide total. Guess I'll try to locate individual thin stripis.
