Of course that's only if you're looking to go from an E39 rim's 74mm to your hub's 72.5mm. Since the type of wheel you're using (or even the car you're putting them on!) was never mentioned, the answer needs that proviso.

Phil,

Rich is putting on a set of 1997 e39 wheels on an e28. He will need the hubcentric rings.

What Jay said.

I think I may have a set already in my garage but since it is packed with stuff, It is easier to order some then find the others at this point.

My only mistake the last time I ordered them was not ordering two sets. The shipping costs almost as much as the rings. Don't make the same mistake. When I ordered them the rings were $3 and shipping was $8.56. Can't imagine the shipping would increase for two sets.

It was the guy entering the order, they can back out the second shipping cost on some items that the weight isn't much. But some choose CYA method and leave it in. Afterall you the consumer pay for it anyhow. Most folks are oblivious and pay it no attention.

just ordered mine from tirerack on tuesday, and they arrived on wednesday. $21.00 shipped. i thought my wheels fit perfectly, until i hit 65mph and noticed the horrible shimmy! put e39 wheels on the e28.
