Sand blating sand in my new intake

I got the e34 plenum blasted a while back and today decided to get it prepped for install on the engine.. I looked inside and saw allot of brown dirt.., but on closer inspection it's really fine sand from the blaster.

I've hit the inside with brake cleaner and the flushed with soap and water three times and I still have sand in there.

Is there a trick to removing this stuff ? The last thing I want to do is suck this crap into my new engine.

The sand is sinking to the bottom of the plenum too quickly and it's a bitch to get it all out. Guess i need to just keep at it..

I had the same problem and found that saturating it with engine gunk helped tremendously as the inside on the plenum was very sticky/gummy. Then do the hot water.
