To do it right?
You have to strip all the leather and foam off of the seat bottom. It takes about an hour or so to do working at a leisurely pace with several sets of gloves, since there's lots of grease and such from the motors/tracks/transmissions underneath that you don't want to transfer to the leather. Also, you'll have to check the main frame rails, as usually if the bolster goes, the area around the rearmost opening for the knee bolster switch trim piece attachment is next.
To do it half-assedly?
Remove a couple of hogrings on the offending bolster, pull the pin for the knee bolster linkage, slide that out of the way and hope you don't burn any leather or foam when you tack it back in place. And then, you don't know if you have a cracked lower frame because you can't see it with the foam still in place.
Those seats have been recovered anyway. That should have been caught/reinforced during that process.
