Used 400 grit sandpaper and Fiebings black dye at 30psi in a spray gun. Drivers side bolster had a 2cm tear - covered with a patch you can see in the first photo.

Used Meguiars leather conditioner to treat the dyed seats. Hope I don't turn my wifes bum black. I've wiped them down well. We'll see. They look and feel great. I was lucky to find seats in good condition

they look marvelous will they fit in an e-28?

Yes. They're power seats. I took the power bases off and screwed them to the manual bases from my fabric seats. Perfect fit.
You lose the ability to tilt the seat back switching from power to manual, but on the drivers side you still have the seat "pitch back" option and
could in the passenger position as well by using another drivers side manual base.
