SS brake lines

Am going to have a complete brake job done and was thinking of upgrading to SS lines.

Any disadvantages to using them (I have standard e28 brakes now)?

Any advice on the best manufacturer for SS lines (for an e28 M5)?

Get lines with the sheath over the braids. Dirt can get into the braids and cause abrasion leading to line failure. Earl's are pretty great. Think I bought mine from bimerworld.com.

Ate gold fluid (same as the super blue, but it stains and you're not racing).

Jurid pads.

I also have a set of goodridge on my 96 thunderbird and they helped alot. I will be adding some to a 2000 solara this weekend.

I've just put UUC lines on my car and honestly notice no difference I can attribute soley to the lines at all. The other changes I made at the same time all make a far greater contribution to the feel than the stainless lines.

That said, they were cheap and I would definitely fit them again if I had my time.

I've not heard good things about UUC QC as of late. I'd be careful with them.

While the braking feel will not change appreciably with the addition of PTFE+braided stainless steel hoses, Goodrige does offer a good product.
