running ground to pin 3 of ECU via the kickdown switch. Did you ever accomplish this, and if so, how did it work?

Why would you do that rather than change the TPS switchgear and wire appropriately that way?

Just curious,
Andrew.

Andrew,

I've never gotten around to fixing that. (@)

Why would I do that instead of changing the TPS switch and the wiring harness? Because I don't have a TPS switch and another wiring harness. !@#$

OKl, I was just wondering. It seems that that would be at least as easy as fiddling with the kickdown switch. The TPS are commonly available in the slavage yards for next to nothing, and I think that rewiring the existing harness would be fairly routine even if one had to loom up a separate wire through the firewall to the connector.

I will try that approach and let you know what my findings are. Or maybe just show you at the fest.

have you noticed any running issues without the WOT signal?

Nope, I haven't had any running problems. I might be losing some power at WOT, but having never gotten around to fixing that, I can't tell you what the difference would be.

Well that's encouraging. Even if I don't resolve the issue immediately upon making the switch, the car will still be driveable.

Thanks,
Andrew.
