325i to 528e does anyone know?
Does anyone know what all I can swap out from a 1988 325i to a 1988 528e in order to get more horsepower? I heard the 528e has the same eng...as the 325i but the 528e eng...was more for eco...then sport is this true? If so what all can be done?

No. No one knows. And stop cross-posting, its a wasteful and trollish habit. Pick one thread and go with it. If you don't know what you need, then you probably shouldn't be posting in the For Sale/Wanted - Parts forum just yet.
The 528e engine is an M20B27 121 (or 127 hp post march 1987) and the 325i engine is a M20B25 with 167 hp or there abouts.
They are not the same engine but B25 will bolt up where the B27 was. If you you have the early 121 hp version then you will need to use a "super eta" wiring harness to run the engine. This is the motronic 1.1 harness and you can plug the motronic 1.3 harness in place of the eta one. With an appropriate chip you will have a decent engine.
Alternatively swap the heads, intake manifold and throttle body from a 325i motor on to your eta short block and the plug in the super eta 1.1 engine harness with a 173 ECU and you will get ~ 170hp and ~190 ft.lb or torque. More torque from lower down than a 325i motor will ever develop.
Cross posting is not cool but his question is valid although a bit searching would have answered it. However when I started searching for answers on this topic it took a long time to understand everything as there is alot of misinformation and what info there is is diffuse.

cross posting
sorry about the cross posting everyone
I'm new to this site and a new BMW owner didn't think people would get so pissy about it. I was happy to hear you could swap out parts from a 325i to the 528e and thought what better place to find out if it were true then here. sorry all, it won't happen again

It's not a matter of being pissy, it's a matter of getting you an answer to your question. Ask in multiple places and you'll get multiple tidbits of information in multiple places. Ask in one place and the answer becomes more centralized, complete, and easier to follow up on if you need more information.
It's for your own benefit, IOW. Don't start off on the wrong foot by being belligerent with those trying to help you.

While I know what you all mean by search your self answers or link to google it, I can see how it can come across as "pissy" to someone who does not know how ready you all are to help all sorts of folk with their problems.
Remember not everyone knows alot about cars or knows what to search for and of course some people are lazy however and want the answers given to them. I do not know which camp if any the O.P falls into and I will not judge. I feel sometimes by reading some posts in various threads that judgements are made on both sides to easily. This is a shame.
Misunderstandings and bad feeling normally take two sides although one post I read here recently, it took just one side the that person ran with it for a while before giving up.
