CAI with Headlight Wash / Wipe, anyone?

Has anyone shoehorned a CAI (ideally a TCD) next to the oversized water resevoir used with euro washing wiper system?

It doesn't look like a fit, but you guys are creative.

Everybody knows that but, some prefer the look and sound of the TCD unit and some claim to notice better throttle response.

Sorry to be such an idiot.

"This guy" replaced his stock intake for several reasons, including, but not limited to the more direct air flow, appearance, accoustics and ease of plumbing the MAF.

Some of us like different modifications for diferent reasons. Some of my modifications are for performance, some are for comfort, and others are just to please me.

I'm indifferent as to whether these appeal to you, or even make sense. That's what's great about this chassis. It can be an econo-comfort cruiser, or a track rat, or something in between.

I've done a few typical modifications, as well as some more extreme ones. Some folks here have seen them and even approved.

Now, I'm simply considering adding wipers and washers to the headlights and see an issue with packing it into the same place. I have it all, just can't seem to see how it'll work.

Hoped I could tap someone's experience on this issue. Let me know if I can help you out sometime.

ps maybe I'm taking undue offense at being referred to as "this guy" having been involved since the Welty days, before the UUC Digest, Roadfly and M535i board (member 49) existed. If I have to post a little more for credibility, who knows.

No need to post more about your credibility. Most of the long time posters know you. I saw the post calling you "this guy" and sat a little bit lower in my seat. I almost posted but knew you could take care of yourself.

C.R. Krieger meant no harm, though. There are plenty of guys out there that don't know one thing from the other and needed a post like C.R's.

Well, by comparison, my 'Smartass' resume goes back to my 'Welty days' - as in Joseph Welty Junior High School in New Philadelphia, Ohio, circa 1965. ~0 It was refined in law school in Akron from '78-'82 and honed to a sharp edge in Akron Sports Car Club, BMW(pre-space)CCA, (Pre-Andy Evans) IMSA, 1994 Usenet, and SCCA ever since.

You obviously know what you're about doing. Therefore, you have not only my blessing, but my encouragement, to shake your head in response to my answer and dismiss me as a Smartass. But please realize that there are so many others out there who will follow your lead in modifying their own cars piecemeal and haphazardly while giving it no real thought whatsoever. It is those to whom many of my posts are directed. I am sorry for not knowing that you are not one of them. Come up to Road America sometime and I'll buy you a beer at Siebkins.
