appraising a car for insurance purposes

Post by devin in tampa »

Greetings all,

I found very competitive car coverage w/ Sneed Insurance for both the e28s, but they want to give a max coverage amt of $15K for the M5. I had it insured for an agreed stated value of $25K w/ Grundy.

Can anyone recommend a cheap but reputable appraisal company? I may have to go this route to get the coverage I want. I spoke to several people, and they just look on the Internet for sales. Any idiot could do that!

Have any of you all encountered a similar issue with your insurance co? How did you convince them of a higher value? If anyone has bought a low mileage M5 lately, could you PM me or email me at [email protected] the miles and price you paid (all info will remain confidential). I'd like to justify the $25K value on my own w/out paying for an appraisal if possible.

Any suggestions appreciated. I'll also post on the M5 board.

Hope everyone is having a good summer!
