I have a 260 transmission for sale/or trade whatever. It came from an e30 M20 and has low miles 150,000 or so. I have no use for it. It also has the shifter plate and shifter.

Yes they are different!
pre-4/86 "eta"
5/86+ "eta"
pre-6/88 "i" motor
6/88+ "i" motor

that one looks to be an early pre 86 325e tranny, only difference between the later eta one is a larger output flange
