Cheap turbo oil line/oil sending unit adapter

Post by Jays535is »

I recently got this TP6 so I could run a oil pressure gauge along with my idiot light only $15 shipped from the UK.

TRM wanted $30+ another $15+ to ship (WTF)

Thats a niftly little adapter. The other option would be for those FI guys that tap their oil filter housing to use a male NPT running Tee that has female NPT threads on one end and male AN fitting on the other (for your oil feed line). One could also tap their oil filter housing and run a gauge right off of that.

I used the TRM piece and figured out a way squeeze the pressure sender right on top of the adapter. Its tight fit. I also did what Brad mentioned, only I'm measuring oil temps right as the oil flows to the turbo.
