Are all E32 735i cars B35 powered?
My head has an 09/1987 build date, but the Z1 decoder shows it as an M30B34. My block has all the B35 accessories... but I do have the B34 intake manifold.
Also, no cold start valve. Any ideas?

I SAID YES
I pulled a b35 from a 735 so the E32 did come with at least ONE b35.
just look if its a b35 head and not a b34 head

AFAIK all m30 powered e32s had the b35. There are tell tale things to look at on the head to know for sure. The port shape is quite telling.
b34 port
b35 port

You need to pull the intake manifold and look at the ports or see if there is a VIN tag still on the head.

The VIN comes back as a 9/87 E32. Obviously, there's an error in the Z1 VIN decoder site. It's a B35.

If it is a b35(which is should be) you would benefit from running the b35 intake.

I'm sure the new owner would be willing to make that change...
