I finnally got my injector pump rebuilt, timed, belt replaced. But..
on start up runs rough then after 2 min settles down to very nice and smooth. After warm I get a lot of black smoke and seems pretty "doggy" but smooth on acceleration. Injection light in check panel comes on about 5 seconds after start up, Tac bounces above 3500 rpm, my SI pack I know will have to be replaced as well as odometer gears. I hear the turbo spooling up nicely during acceleration for anything above 1\2 throttle yields a lot of black smoke. Fuel system completely flushed, new filters, fresh oil change after flush out (Amzoil flush with new filter then change filter again w\ 15-50. anyone give me a cule where to look next? What does injection Check panel light on indicate?
Thanks,
dave

1st Guess:
Black smoke and very smooth (and quiet) running could result from a significantly late injection timing as a result of incomplete combustion. Late timing can also cause both diesels and gasburners to run hot.
