WTB 4HP22 EH Auto Tranny TX

In a big jam. Tranny is about gone, car limping into El Paso. Just purchased and trying to get back to east coast. My driver can hang in Dallas for as long as needed, so I could possibly UHaul with a dolly her to there from El Paso. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [email protected]

Dude, if it seriously turns out to be the transmission, I would have Jim ship one out from Autobahn. You know they have a few of them over there...and the fact that the car didn't even make it home.

Are you sure its not just a transmission error (light on the dash illuminated) versus the transmission being shot? Doesn't sound like something that would just "happen" at highway speed, but I suppose anything is possible. Its just that cruising on the highway doesn't really generate a lot of heat...

Didn't even think of that. I have a call into him. I described to a tee to my buddy who is a 22 year bmw master tech and first words out of his mouth was sounds like another 4HP22 dying..or the like. Maybe he can hook me up, I would then just need a referral for install. Car is in El Paso. Also thinking about shipping car back here.

Oooo, that's great. Just FYI, you can take one of these hoses, cut the old hose off, cut the proper end off this one, and double hose clamp it to the metal line and it will work just fine. No need to buy the whole expensive ass piece...
