Yup, Shelbys aren't cheap. Looks like a nice car. I am surprised to see it advertised on Craigslist...those kinds of cars usually stay inside the enthusiast circles and don't show up in freebie classified ads.

Ya, it is rather surprising that it's on CL, but I guess if it's free to list it, it can't hurt.

Interesting car. My least favorite Mustang body from the era. Meanwhile, it looks like the seller is a BMW Z3 owner as well...

Someone is trying to avoid 15-20% auction service fees.

FeeBay is no better.

I don't care what car it is. A '69 anything is NOT worth that much money. EVAR.

Hey young'n' - you need to watch or read the results of the auctions for the muscle cars of that era. ;)
Your jaw will drop. No BMWs from that timeframe bringing that kind of cash, including CSLs & M1s.

Oh, trust me I have watched auctions for old muscle cars, and I have seen some outrageous bids.
I'm not one for muscle cars, they just don't do much for me.
So IMO it isn't worth it, probably because I don't really like muscle cars too much.
There was an old chevelle truck for sale at this little dealer near my house and they wanted 15,000 for it. I thought it was rediculous even asking for that much.
I would rather pay $155000 for a brand new car.

These cars only command prices like that because people are willing to pay. Whether or not someone feels its worth it or not, there is someone who will have to have it because they always wanted one no matter the cost.
