I have a '87 528e. Will this work for me and what performance gains can I expect? Is it plug and play? Is it as good as a Dinan or Bavautosport version? Thanks. Dan

It will work for you. Read what Rod Paine has to say about the D'Sylva chip in his writeup on his 1983 528e. 3/4 of the way down the page you'll find it.

If it did, I would have jumped on this. But I did some research and it appears the DME for the Super E is different than pre '88 models (I believe the last 3 numbers are 154).

It's Motronic 1.1, instead of 1.0 like all the other etas.

Option00002 sold me the chip brand new but b/c I just bought a new car this weekend, I have to sell it along with some of my other 528e goodies to pay for some "goodies" for the new car. I drive myself crazy sometimes. :bawl:
PM me if anyone is interested.
Cheers,
Dan
