Ebay chip

So ive been running an ebay chip in my eta for close to a year without any problems,it would kick in at about 3200 rpm and was a nice little boost.The last month,since the weather became warmer ive had stalling issues,where just out of nowhere the car would turn off and it would take a few times to get it started again.Then it became more frequent,it was driving me crazy,it got worse and worse,the RPM would jump all over the place.I tried everything,cleaned the fuel and main relays,then replaced them,still had the problem and it became obvious that the ecu was the culprit.So i got another ecu and the problem went away permanently.Then i got a 3.46 lsd and that was fun,so i thought why not put the ebay chip into the new ecu as that would be even more fun.All was well for 4 days and then the stalling problem came back.Then i got a third stock ecu and the problem has disappeared once again. Moral of the story is i will never ever consider an ebay chip again and if anyone asks i will tell them to avoid them like Aids.

Chances are that there was nothing "wrong" with the programming, just the chip itself had some sort of internal fault.
