WTB--- m30b35 head
WTB--- m30b35 head
im looking for a b35 head to swap into my 535i. im not really looking to buy from anyone unless they wanna sell it cheap.
i missed my shot at getting one for 40 bucks at the salvage yard.
so hears the deal. i want someone to get one from there pull it yourself yard for $40-50ish and ship it to me.
i will pay for shipping, gas to and from the yard and a little extra for pulling it (and of course the price of the head). if anyone is interested post up.
it needs to be in good condition too. pics would be great before i buy it but but arnt necessary. i also wanna see the websights price list or the receipt so i dont get overcharged

You'd get much further with your request if you had just asked if someone could help you out with a B35 head from their local yard. If I were you, I'd just wait for another to come along. There are several here, but I, for one won't pull one. Asking for proof of the cost makes you sound like an ass.
Good luck with your search. I mean that.

i recently pulled one from the pick u part, that i used, but heres a break down for cost, it was 45 for the head plus tax, a 7 dollar core charge, took a hour and a half to pull it, since i make 41 an hour, that 60 dollars in labor, gas is 7 dollars, then to ship a head would be at least 40 because of weight, so it woud cost u close to 200 dollars for someone to pull one for u, u would be better off waiting for another one at your pick u part, but asking for proof of purchase makes u sound bad.

I realize this is a bit off topic in this thread but unless you are going FI, I really wouldn't put the b35 head on your b34 block. Your CR is going to go through the floor and the benefits of the head really arent going to matter much for all the extra trouble. Plus if you wanted to the rest of the b35 swap, it'll most likely be in vain as it really isn't going to run right at 7.8:1 or whatever the CR winds up at ( I know its close to that and it is lower than a stock b34). Swap the whole engine if you want a b35.
Oh well next time someone finds an s38 in the yard can you just pull it for me I'll cover the $175 for an engine from the yard. And nab any other valuable parts from whatever M car you get it from I'll pay like the $10 per door card for the m5 leather ones, and if the getrag 280 is still there I'll throw in that other 50 bucks or so. And some gas money.
okay? you didnt take me seriously, i said ide pay for osmeoen to pull it because my yard hasnt had any for a long time.bsacks810860 wrote:i recently pulled one from the pick u part, that i used, but heres a break down for cost, it was 45 for the head plus tax, a 7 dollar core charge, took a hour and a half to pull it, since i make 41 an hour, that 60 dollars in labor, gas is 7 dollars, then to ship a head would be at least 40 because of weight, so it woud cost u close to 200 dollars for someone to pull one for u, u would be better off waiting for another one at your pick u part, but asking for proof of purchase makes u sound bad.

rest
What do you mean by 'rest of the b35 swap?' To me that means swapping to the b35 pistons which will keep the b35 CR (~9:1 I think). Sorry to continue OTBig Bronze Rim wrote:I realize this is a bit off topic in this thread but unless you are going FI, I really wouldn't put the b35 head on your b34 block. have you taken any aluminum to the scrapper lately? it was pushing 2-3 $/lb here last I checked (a few weeks ago) and the line for the metal scredder is 5 blocks long most days (and that's for most any metal)....sucks for lovers of old(er) cars, but a consideration when you're looking at a hunk of parts.
