You really should have 225/50/16 tires mounted on the rear wheels. That's the '80s Tuner setup from the likes of ALPINA, Harge, and Schnitzer.

I'm thinking about add the 5-8mm. spacer in front, to make the 7"BBS to be 7.5" like others brand(Hartge,AC,and ...)..What do you think?

ive got much the same set-up on my new E28, it doesnt have any exterior mods (yet, waiting for Alpina front cow catcher) but i do have the same BBS which im over the moon with. i was gonna put the same boot spoiler on but i do want something different, like a Breyton or Hartge spoiler.

bargey, been a while, hows the new e28 coming along? I've been hunting for an early hartge/alpina bootlid spoiler for yonks to match the Hartge alloys i recently aquired, but have had no luck yet. Did you get your cowcatcher off ebay or happen to stumble across it down at Peninsula BM like you have a habit of doing

And those BBS look the bee's knee's mate, very nice indeed. Any other updates on the 5er of late?

My e28 was the cowcatcher look. My e30 is stand still..

the color is Samoa Blue#295, darker a little bit by lighting. the pic below is the same color taking in daylight.

I believe some of the Asian countries were afflicted with sealed beams and 5mph bumpers, just like the US.

80% of E28 that sell in Thailand come with the US bumper.(the early year-'83-85-comes with the chrome bumper)..
For my car at first comes with the big bumper as well..Just change to Euro bumper.

gday mate! good to hear from you again. havent really had much time to spend on the E28 lately, i did blacken out the kidneys about a months back, and with the front clears it looks fantastic. i cant seem to be able to get my hands on the cow catcher, there's a bloke on here that has a few of them but i cant find anyone else to help me bring them over.

how about yours pal? from that pic it still looks fantastic!

There's a guy on the uk ebay that is selling repro alpina valances for abotu 200 GBP, although with shipping it'd end up being about 700AUD for one. they're fiberglass remakes, not that you can tell. Alpina Australia in Sydney has them for about that price anyway (although im not sure they have any in stock atm). I was actually considering importing about 5 of them, as shipping gets cheaper, and then selling them off but i don't have the funds at the moment, and i don't know if the juice would be worth the squeeze.

And thanks mate, she's coming along! Just had the bilsteins and eibach lowering springs installed last month, and i've got these too install at some stage too

Still got to mount the M528i valance after painting, and some clear indicators and then she's done for the time being. Would really like to find a hartge/alpina style bootlid spoiler, and will prob install mtech flares once i get the wheels sorted out, but that can wait for now!
