1984 528e Euro Package Whats It Worth
Hey guys I just bought a 1984 528e auto with 53,000 original miles, it has been converted with the eruo style ground effects and front and rear bumper,it is pretty clean after a bath and a good good buffing i will be all set. Has the bbs wheels on it with black leather(decent for the age) I know its not a 5 speed a or a 535 but hey it looks preety sweet and with 50k on it where could i have gone wrong. Tommorow is going to be nice out, I will take a couple pics of it. But in the mean time can anyone put a number on it....

NOTHING is more frustrating than to have someone ask what a car is worth and there are no pics to gauge it's condition. The range of estimates could be all over the place with the description you gave, and with no price paid listed there is no way to tell if you got a good deal or not!
Wait until you have pics then post your questions with more details about the car.
Lots of people will be happy to provide their opinion.

My guesstimate, since it IS an eta and an auto.... Somewhere in the $3-4k range.... If it were the latter (535/manual), than I'd say you'd be in the $5-7k range... Of course there is no expertise at all behind these estimate, just my own judgement of pricing that I wouldn't be shocked to see on a car like that!
Do you happend to know what body kit this is...and how easy is it to replace or repair a small crack on the side skirt..................BMWgiant wrote:My guesstimate, since it IS an eta and an auto.... Interesting car! Hard to put a number on the value, but from the pictures the exterior Euro conversion looks like it was done well.
You have a M-Technic body kit, and parts are still available new from the dealer or from Maximillian at http://www.bmwmobiletradition-online.com/ . To find the M-Tech trim parts, enter your car as an e28 M535i and go to the Vehicle Trim section. The Bumper and Exterior Trim subsections should have what you're looking for.

So are you going to tell us how much you paid for it..?
I'd say 3.5-5K...if in good mechanical shape. Can't see the interior though... and no word on the condition other that the odometer has click over 50K times... does the odometer actually work still?
Either way looks nice a nice find... Still cant believe someone would half shadowline it though

So, are you happy with it?
If you are and don't plan on selling it, then who cares what it's worth? You obviously bought it because you believe you got a good deal.
I'm sorry, but I don't go for it when people ask everyone to come in and say it's worth eleventy-billion dollars, then you come in later and tell us you paid $30, then ask, "Uh, so did I get a good deal?"
I have a feeling that's what's going to happen here.
