WTB - 21mm Front Sway Bar for 87 535i

Post by brendano »

I currently have a 19mm and want to go to a 21mm and not get into changing the mounts for an M5 sway bar.

My car is a 1987 535i.

Thx.

The euro m5 has the 21mm bar I got mine new from local dealer and bushings 130ish to 150ish for all of it.

The ST bars (25/19) allow you to use the stock mounts - they just use a different bushing.

Yeah, but they'll rip out the stock mounts.

ST and RD make 22/16 bars that are adjustable, and the stock mounts are usually up to them. Don't upgrade to just a larger front bar, unless you want more understeer.

Well, yeah, which is why I had mine reinforced. Forgot to mention that key piece of info.
