B&B Tri-Flo Exhaust for sale(SOLD)
B&B Tri-Flo Exhaust for sale(SOLD)
I recently pulled this system off my M5(e28). I replaced it with a factory stock exhaust, recently purchased from Doug Park in Newport Beach. Thanks Doug. While this system has an aggressive tone and is everything as advertised, I found it too loud for my taste. 10-15 years age it would have been acceptable, but now, in my 40's I find myself requiring more mellow environments. It was installed by a PO and from the records, has approx 30k miles on it. In the picture you will see a weld spot that was created due to improper hanging, which caused the muffler to crack around the tips. The repair is 100% good and can be hidden if you choose with black paint. I had no problem with it as it is, but that is a personal preferrence. This unit has a MSRP of $989.00 on the B&B website. I am asking $500 obo +s/h.

BB Exhaust
Is it also "too" loud with cat or just too loud with straight pipe? Sound clip?
I was runnung it without a cat. It's not overbearingly loud. My problem is the environment where I live. I live in a townhouse with a community driveway that feeds to all of the garages. This common area is an echo chamber. Therefore, whenever I come and go, it's rather offensive to my neighbors. I imagine with a cat it would tone down abit. It's definitely an agressive 'tone'. I find myself driving a little slower with the stock exhaust. No sound clip, but I'm sure there are some other members who may have some feedback on this system. It's a desired unit.
I just checked it out on the website and they give two different part numbers and two different prices. I've heard of people running M5 exhausts on their M30 cars, but I haven't looked into it much. I'd be interested to hear what they say. I guess it would be either "yes" or "no."2ndeagle wrote:I'll call tomorrow and find an answer to your question. My invoice has a different part # from the website, but it might be an old part #. It appears they may have re-catagorized the part #'s.

My apologies for the postage stamps. I didn't view the pictures when I made the original post.

Technical data
Here's a link to the B & B website. Note I misquoted the MSRP. The price for the M5 exhaust is $1083. $500 is a steal.
