Do diesel cars use same SI board as gas?

Do diesel cars use same SI board as gas?

I've been trying to find out if Greeneye offers an si board for the 524. I'm not sure about their answer, but it sounds like they have one board that fits all e28's. I had gotten the impression before that the diesel board was diesel specific. Anyone know for sure?

Same thing as the other early boards....get a used one from an 82 528e. They eliminate the SI function and generally never go bad...very simple in comparison.
