Anyone know the CFM rating of the aux fan?

Since replacing my compressor and getting my A/C functioning again, I really notice the difference in the a/c at standstill and while moving.
I am sure that many guys have replaced/upgraded the aux fan on our cars. I have spoken wtih JBort and he replaced his with a unit out of a Benz. However I am curious what the CFM rating is of the stock fan is if I was looking at buying an aftermarket replacement fan..

No idea but getting something like a Spal is probably a very good idea.

I don't know what the ratings are, but I think it works pretty well. Low moves some air, but it's quiet, high kicks ass and really moves some air. I had the same fan blow a fuse on an E12 one time and wow, what a difference without low speed blowing on the condenser. Terrible A/C in town, unlike normal which took a while to come on, but worked well. Early A/C fans like on Bav's and early E12's were pretty small and not very effective, but the ones on E28's are large and move some air. Plus they're cheap from Pick and Pull and bolt right up.

Bring a cordless drill and use the battery in it to test fans at the yard to make sure you get a good one, the Benz's are right next door in Rancho but lots of them use what looks like an E21 fan with a grill on it. Not nearly what an E28 uses.
