New to the group...
Just wanted to say hello to everyone, new to the group but long time E28, E30..."pre 1991" BMW enthusiast. Just purchased a "new to me" E28 M5, very excited about my new ///M5... Hope to learn and absorb things I do not know and hopefully share things that I do know and might be helpful.

Pics are coming, I promise. I just picked it up finally this past weekend. It is amazing.
37k miles. It is the nicest E28 car I have ever seen. Much less an M5. I cannot believe it is really mine. You all have probably seen the ad for it floating around. It was in San Jose. It is currently in a enclosed car carrier on the way to me. I did get to drive it on the PCH, around Santa Cruz, and around Half Moon Bay. Then drove it to Sacremento where I met the shipping truck and hopped on a plane home. Can't wait for it to get here.

I, too, am interested in some more info on your newest toy. I assume that is is the M5 that has been advertised in the Roundel on-line ads for several months, correct? Good luck with the purchase and let us know how it goes.

Thank you for your kind words and correct observation. The car is as nice as it was advertised. Although the car was priced at a premium, there ar fewer and fewer of the cars to get your hands on in this condition and with these kind of miles. The records kept are perfect and complete, and in the future this car should prove itself a wise investment.
My Porsche is an equal passion and it has been heavily modified. I am using it to compete in the Cannonball Run in July. Atlanta to Los Angeles.
I am currntly looking for a nice Alpina B7 as my next addition. My friend had one of these cars and it has never left my mind.

How long had you been looking before your found this M5 and bought it? Just curious... as it took me about 6 months and several plane trips before I found my street M5. Like yours, the one I bought had 37K miles and was it very good condition (8 or 9 out of 10, I'd say). It was in GA. and I drove it to its new home in MA. Current the car has 43K miles.
You and Sick both need to drive yours cars to really enjoy them (while still keeping the miles in check... as car in this condition and low mileage are collector-level BMWs, IMO).
