I saw this wagon for sale locally - any wag lovers this looks pretty incredible

Looks sharp. I do note that they suspiciously don’t mention rust or have photographs of the tailgate’s lower edge (these all rust there). Also if it’s indeed still the 2.0 it doesn’t have 150 HP. If the engine’s been upgraded to a 2.5, I’d want to be sure all the right suspension and braking components were as well, especially at that price — the 320i came with smaller diameter shocks, weaker springs, smaller brakes, small case differential, and a weaker transmission (Getrag 240). I’ve read both directions whether or not the wagons got the suspension and braking upgrades by default regardless of engine.

I was really into the idea of buying one of these but the wagon premium held me back. Seems like you can get a lot more car for the money with something else. The wagon is big on style points but for behind the wheel enjoyment value I'm not sure I'd spend the money here...

It’s telling that they never seem to stay with one owner too long. Just long enough for some Instagram/TikTok attention then on to the next person. I also agree the premium on these is difficult.

Anyway, In my opinion its a very nice touring with a smattering of rare expensive parts - Mtechnic II kit, design edition interior, euro weaves, etc.

It would have to be checked over for rust as German/Austrian cars driven in winter rusted badly. The paint looks really nice though.

M20B20 is rated at 127 bhp, so agree likely not 150 hp without modifications??

I own a 325i touring and two 320i E30's, they come with the same 51mm struts/shocks and brakes as the 325i (same part numbers on realoem). The trans should be G240 and small case diff though.

The M20B20 engine is sweet and I'd take all day over a 4 cylinder touring.

Especially in a country/era where cars were taxed on displacement, a person would have been so much happier with a 2.0 inline six as opposed to most comparable four cylinders. I remember Mazda had a 1.8 V6 in their MX-3 (called a Precidia in Canada), and that really elevated it compared to most compact cars of the early 90s.

My brother had one of these for a few years in Spain. I drove it many times. It just begs to be driven hard.
