Does anybody know if a RHD e28 steering box would fit an e28 LHD car? Different casing or attachment points?

Thanks

I wouldn't trust it enough to try. This "parts collection" listing appears to have two for sale, one Euro M5 and one 87' 535i: viewtopic.php?t=161323

Been eyeing it as mine is leaking, I might jump on the Euro M5 one depending on price.

No fitment...they are different. View from the steering column side, attachment points LHD to the right, RHD to the left (of pitman arm)

So, I have a followup question: the RHD and LHD steering boxes are different and not interchangeable but are the internals the same? Could I swap in the RHD M5 internals into a LHD case?

Thanks
