Hi All-
I am sadly parting with my 535is. Two young kids and the duties of fatherhood have prevented me from enjoying the car as much as I had planned. I'd love to see the car go to another enthusiast who can continue to enjoy it. Link below to FB ad. The car is also posted on the BMW CCA site.

Re: 1987 535is | Lachssilber with Cardinal Red Interior
A few questions please, is the odometer mileage for the chassis and the replacement motor lower? Driver's seat obviously needing some care, what's condition of the rest of the interior? Any other corrosion issues besides the lower rear window corner? Bottom door drains clean, sunroof channels, etc? Original paint and condition? Clear coat hazing? Dings and scratches?
Thanks
Thanks

The odometer reading is for the chassis, and the replacement motor has approximately 132k miles. The rest of the interior is in good shape. The dash is cracked like many of these e28s. Original glass and sound system, excluding the head unit.
Corrosion is most visible at the lower left rear corner. I will try to post pics of the underside of the car, but nothing major to report. Bottom door drains and sunroof channels are clear. The car was repainted before I purchased it. The clear coat is in good shape, as is the paint. It isn't a Pebble Beach paint job, but solid for a daily driver. Scratch near the lock on the driver's door.
Happy to answer any further questions. Apologies for the slow reply.

Your profile doesn’t show where in CA you are but if I had to guess by your screen name you are just up the road from La Jolla.
If so, bring it by La Jolla Independent on the 14th for the SoCal Vintage gig. Who knows, maybe you’ll find a buyer. And if not you still get lunch.
