Rear trailing arm axle flange question

Post by Fanclutchnut »

I am in the process of doing an entire rear subframe rebuild on our M5. Upon disassembly we noticed that the abs tone rings we cracked. I found the replacement Ivo Cristov rings on Angry Ass. My question is when I removed the dust shields from the flanges to install the replacement rings, they got distorted. Are the dust shields available seperately?

I did a quick look on Realoem which I'm sure you did already and don't see a separate part listed for them. I'd reach out to Angry-Ass or even Ivo and see if they have a source.

Not available from BMW but unless they are destroyed you should be able to refit them. I have done it before and they were easy enough to straighten and refit. When they are badly rusted then they are unusable.
When things are not available it can be the only option as the complete unit was very expensive and now not available.
