Massive's Facebook account has been hacked and is gone. New website.

Post by Massive Lee »

Hi everybody.

As we all know, sometimes shit happens. But sometimes it also happens very hard and by the buckets...

Woke up one morning last week and received a message from Facebook explaining that because I have posted stuff that were not «acceptable» (porn, weapons, drugs, controlled substances etc), my accounts were suspended... What? That was done during the night while I was sleeping, it is clear I was hacked. Trying to contact FB to sort it out lead nowhere. Within 24 hours, my personal and work accounts have been totally suspended and all traces of life are now erased. A friend who's a cybersecurity experts explained that I was hacked, the bots posted shit all over the internet on my "behalf", then other bots reported that shit to Facebook. Which explains why my termination was so quick. That sucks, since Massive's website was taken down a few years back after a cyber attack on the server. Now Facebook...

I have been getting emails from peoples wondering what happened and worried I had died. Nop. Nothing like that.

So. After getting totally depressed for 24 hours, I reactivated my domain name, registered to a website host and learned how to become a web geek. I was an art director in advertising and designer in my previous life, so designing is not a problem. But I expect to spend 100 hours building a new website, especially that many precious pictures have been wiped out and I have to reshoot....

https://www.massivebrakes.com/

That is the same URL as before, and it is now active but the website is obviously just starting and I have to build it up from the ground. Writing texts and adding pictures. It will take weeks before it is complete.

I would appreciate if you could click on the link, so that Google can start building its search database.
Or let people asking about the now absent Facebook page, that Massive is still alive and well.

Thank you very much all

Lee

PS I still have a good inventory of e30 seat adapters for e28s, as well as e90 seat adapters for e28. But I have yet to add those items to the website.

Ouch. Life in the new millennium I suppose. :brickwall:

Never got to your old site, but the new one while perhaps incomplete, looks good!

I don't have a facebook account...or any social media for that matter.  I know for businesses it's kind of like being in the phone book.  I will never see stuff posted on facebook marketplace.  I would have never known you existed.  Sorry you were hacked.  Link clicked (several time).  Good luck!

Sorry to hear about the Facebook situation, but at least you’ve got a website now—which I personally would have preferred ordering through! I was never a big fan of Facebook to begin with.On a brighter note, I’ve been absolutely loving your E30 seat adapters—fit like a glove. Not that weight savings is a huge priority for everyone, but ditching the power-adjustable setup shaved close to 80 lbs. I suspect more people will be going the E30 sport seat route as time goes on. I'd recommend fabricating some for the E24 crew as well.
