Output Shafts schooling

Serious question sirs, ladies:

Why would I want to replace my 36 year old output shafts known to me as CV joints?

I’d appreciate a good reason to replace them with aftermarket parts (OEM are NLA). Mine are not leaking grease. Rubber not damaged. Just don’t want to get in there and gut them out: Clean them, regresase them, re seal them and all that jazz. I know am being cheap on this not clever but appreciate an educating answer please. I had not a single joint or even boot failure on my 535i when I sold it 10 years ago with 330K on it. In other words I'd just leave them as is until you notice a boot failure or feel they are making noise. I suspect many of the remans are just factory joints, cleaned and regreased, that weren't bad in the first place.

Leave them in if you don’t want to rebuild. I put some cheap ones in from rock auto and the boot on one failed within a year and sprayed grease all over my undercarriage. I ended up rebuilding the originals and putting them back in.
