Can I Replace part# 34311155270 with #34311153919?

Post by jayzc529 »

Hello All,

I have a bad brake master cylinder on my E28 M5.
I haven't been able to find a replacement nor the rebuild kit.
However in my research I've found that the M5 part #34311155270 superceded part #34311153919.
Does anyone know if the parts are interchangeable in reverse?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My 528i called for a #270 master but after doing some research I concluded the #919 is interchangeable and cheaper, so I used the latter instead. Works just fine.
Pelican had #270 at $260 and the other at $170 IIRC
