replacement SI board (533i)

So I had removed the SI board to look at the batteries and of course the corrosion is extensive and traces are damaged.

I will look around at finding a "good" one but was wondering the difference or any experience with the "batteryless SI board" that is available or the one from ProgRama.

Any reason to pick one over the other?

Have a quality soldering iron with different tips.
You can also jump around the board directly to your temp gauge if it’s not working or temperamental. Check for cracked solders and cold solders. I’ve had 20/80 luck on SI boards. A few have been successful, most will give a light after repair or batteries.

Thanks, I'd be happy to just change batteries etc however the existing SI board has a number of lifted traces and some of the pads are missing - without some form of schematic I'd be guessing but perhapes over the winter I should take a deeper look at repairing adding jumpers.

Hense the question about peoples experience with replacement SI boards.
