I got the tires mounted on the refinished wheels and put them on the car this weekend.

The tires are Pirelli P Zero System Asimmetrico (F: 205/50ZR15, R: 225/50ZR15).

I'd heard many folks say that it was impossible to refinish Fuchs to the original finish. BS. Panther Wheels in Vancouver, CA clearly nailed it. They are perfect.

They look great but I didn't realize they were still using 15" wheels that far into the '80s. Bummer...

Not bummer.

15" wheels were standard on the 911 through 1988. Most US cars were ordered with the OPTIONAL 16" wheels. My car also doesn't have a sunroof which is pretty rare.

I think the 15" wheels look much better than the 16"-ers. It maybe because that's what I have.

The wheels just look like they don't fit right, especially in the rear.

Charlie, I've heard good things about Panther and am about to have some wheel work done. I'm curious why you used them. Isn't there anyone in Seattle who could do that? Those Fuchs really do look awesome! I didn't know about the 15 vs 16 Porsche wheel size thing, I agree those 15 look better than the 16s. Mine you the coupe looks better than the Targa so theres that too. IMHO

Wow I'm surprised to hear that. I thought Seattle would have way more car stuff than up here. Those RZs are sooo nice. Love those with the white.

I had a call from Euro Sport to let me know my stuff was done and ready to be picked up. When I got there, lo and behold, there was a set of just refinished Fuchs in the lobby. It seems like everyone is doing it these days. These were done by Harvey Weidman in NorCal. I had heard of Harvey’s work but this is the first time I’ve seen it in person. Very impressive but I didn’t ask prices since I wasn't sitting down.
