Gauge Cluster Light don't work

Hi Guys,

I just bought my first E28, an 83 533i. The car is in amazing shape, but the lights on the gauge cluster do not work. The gauge cluster itself works, and high beam light works. I am planning on starting with the fuses and then checking the bulbs, but before a dig that far into it, I thought I would ask the forums advice, if there are any other places I should look right off the bat. I thought I could leverage all your great experience.

They should be directly fed by the light switch so if all your other dash lights work check the the 2 bulbs in the cluster.
