I believe Kway had it listed for 12k when it sold a couple years ago. Beautiful, beautiful car. If it ever becomes available again, I'll do my best to not miss out on it.

Sarc - Thanks for the response. Where was I a couple years ago?!

It's absolutely stunning. I've had difficulties locating anything of the sort, as of late.

I've been thinking about putting a 'track wheel' on my E28, and found this photo, I think it looks surprisingly good with Kosei K1's, thought I'd share.

The Koseis dont look bad, but the problem with wide open wheels is that it makes the little brakes look silly. It doesn't look right unless the brakes are just slightly smaller than the barrel of the wheel.

I totally agree, which is probably why I can't find many photos.

Haven't seen him in a couple of years, but I know the owner of this car, and I just confirmed it is available for sale. It is the cleanest example I've seen in the North-East.

I tried to buy that car the last time it came up for sale.

Didn't ask because I'm not in the market for one, so I don't know the price. But maybe leadphut can elaborate.

I saw this car for sale a couple of years ago - and i think it was near the east coast. they were only asking 3 - 5k for it at the time. I wrote the seller a number of times and never heard back. While it looks like a nice car, this is the same picture used the time I saw it for sale. Hopefully it hasn't aged too much.

If that is the case, then it was certainly NOT the seller for the car in this picture. The seller you are referring to likely pulled the picture from the web, and used it to push his ad.
The last time this car was listed was almost 5 years ago, and if I recall correctly, the price was over $12k.
Here is a thread I posted about it back then.

I remember that now. That's probably why the seller never contacted me. I was pretty excited about the car and was asking about specifics like the authenticity of the rims. I must've scared him.

Now the style 5's look as if they are photo shopped. Look at the trash on the road and the shadows in the paint. They're the same.

Good catch -- now that you mention it, the Style 5s do look Photoshopped to me. And I recall seeing that photo before of the car wearing the open-lug Alpinas.
