Whats for breakfast?

Post by RAB71 »

This morning I splurged on a Subway "morning sandwich". They really are tasty. Normally I just get the egg and cheese on flatbread but this morning I had the BMT with egg on flatbread, veggies were green peppers, banana peppers, jalpeno's, onions and tomatoes.

And who knew? Subways coffee doesn't suck either!

I had to make a couple of stops on the way to work today, so decided to splurge a little & grabbed a sausage/cheese biscuit at Burger King and a chocolate covered Bavarian creme-filled bismarck from a local bakery to go with my coffee. Everybody at the office was like, "Did you bring some for me?" My usual morning fare is a bowl of quick oats (oatmeal) cooked with milk & brown sugar; that gets a little old sometimes.

I used to have eggs as part of breakfast on a semi-regular basis until I figured out I was allergic to them. Decided I preferred breathing to eating eggs. It's pretty amazing how much that limits what I can have for breakfast when I eat out.

Wow. Nothing that fancy here. Usually a tablespoon of Metamusil and a BC powder. Maybe a Sundrop out the door for some added vitamin C.

Breakfast burrito complete with homegrown eggs, cheese, avacado, salsa, and espresso. Coffee is too weak now.

That sounds delicious!!! Right now I will eat just about what ever as long as it is semi healthy. DurIng contest prep it's always egg whites and some sort I green vegetable. Usually asparagus or spinach. I'll make an omelette an top with some home made salsa.

I live oats (I'm weird I know). But I'll Mae them with sliced apples and cinnamon or add vanilla protein powder, it's really good with blueberries an bananas as well!

I always have some sort of protein as it takes longer to digest and keeps you feeling fuller longer.

Now I'm hungry again...

Same as usual, some sort of bread, 2 slices, lightly toasted and lightly margerined. (is that a word, I know something can be lightly buttered, but can it be lightly margerined?)

Ick ick ick. I see those eggs sitting there and first off they're egg product, pre made, frozen or whatever thawed and then microwaved. Ick. Scares me half to death.

My usual is a Thomas English Muffin with either nutella or peanut butter in between. I switch it up ever now and then. I save the cereal for a late night snack....

Oatmeal most days, a couple of eggs on weekends if I'm not having brunch somewhere.

I'm a small breakfast person. Unfortunately in the past couple years I've gone from "coffee drinker" to "coffee addict," to the point where I might get a mild headache if I don't have some. On the flip side, a half-cup of joe will do me just fine so I don't quaff it by the gallon.

Still struggling to become a morning workout person. I'll get up for a few days in a row, but then one night I'll work until 3 a.m. and there goes the rest of the week. It's really hard to change circadian rhythms.

Typically, a cup of coffee on the drive in and then water all morning is it for me. As much as I love breakfast, I don't need the extra calories and I've found that I function fine without.

But for those of you who haven't had the pleasure, this is what God had in mind when he created the breakfast sandwich.

Taylor Ham (generically known as pork roll) with two eggs and American cheese on a hard roll. The eggs are fried with the yolks broken and soft, pepper and a little bit of ketchup for me (there's plenty of salt in the pork to season the eggs)

Wow. The top comment on this really cracked me up.

I am usually really slow to wake up and have time for a bowl of cereal and get out the door. Grab a tangerine if i have them. Day off today, so i made an omelet with Dubliner, emmentail swiss, and sharp cheddar (erm.. sorry i was feelin cheesey), some home fries, bacon, and sourdough toast. Had some of the always delicious Mrs. Renfro's mango habanero salsa with it.

Also i found an awesome way to cook bacon the other day. I usually like to put a little bit of maple syrup, but didn't have any. So i used hazelnut syrup for coffee. Spectacular. And yes, i'll try not to have a coronary.

My workday ration is 2 bananas, 3 PBJs, and 1 1/2 qts of black coffee.
I make 3 loaves of bread a week. Store brand Super Chunk and JOTW , Jam of the week , is Lime marmalade. I usually have the bananas eaten by the time I get to the highway. I eat the sandwiches through the course of the day and chase them with my coffee. Weekends, It is cheesy grits , 3 eggs over easy and 3 sausages or some bacon and toast.

I'm cutting down on my bad cholesterol so , breakfast is often a bowl of shredded wheat . Gave up smoking , so the coffee and cigarettes ritual is not currently observed.
