New comer into E28 world - here's my M535i
I love the car! It's a nice replacement to my Alpina B7 Turbo for a fraction of the price....
Sweet M535i! Arctic Blue, right? One of my favorite colors on an E28. That makes that car either an '85 or an '86, correct?
Those M-Technik wheels on that car right now have TRX tires. Get rid of them post haste! They're part of the reason I wrecked my Euro 535i a few years ago. Put them away and have them redone so you can put them on the car for car shows, but get some "real" wheels and tires for driving the car around.
Once again, nice car! That's a twin to Duke's car when he first found it.

Correct! It's Arkistblau with Pacific interior and it's indeed a 86'.
It has 187'000 km on the clock but it's from the 1st owner and still with original paint all around. Very clean car.
I'm not gonna touch the wheels and/or the TRX !
I never do modifications on my cars. And as i'm not driving to beat records, TRX are just fine!

I'm indeed a dealer but these kind of cars are not there for business. I get them for myself and enjoy them. Sure they will end up for sale someday but i have not been around so much with that car yet !
About the TRX. I think i'm a purist and i really like unmolested original cars. They look just so different as the are more scarce and more scarce in original conition and appearence. I also understand that 4 new TRXs cost a lot compared to the car's actual market value. But let's be crazy and have those beautiful rims on that car with new TRXs ! I know Avon makes TRX size tires 1/2 the Michelin price (Avon Turbospeed CR39).
The Alpina cost me an arm and a leg. Really. It was a fantastic car and the result was fabulous. But i put so much money in it and i felt the car was overall not worth it. It just took the pleasure off. In other words i would say that the car is over-valued and you can have better deals than B7 Turbos for the money. The M535i will not be for sure as performant as the B7. The B7 is too perfect. A real track car. You have to drive VERY fast to have sensations. everything is just so seriously adjusted and set up to be performant and effective. Even the TUrbo is linear so that you don't have that kick in your back. You just realize you're VERY fast by looking how the scenery outside (trees...) around you moves. The M535i limits are more accessible to the everyday-driver that i am. I won't need to go fast to have some nice drifts! Plus it's quite a nice looking car with typical 80s sporty add-ons!
By the way, we have one of the most serious vehicle inspections of the world here in Switzerland ! So that we are quite lucky to find excellent condition cars around !

Nice to see an original M535i !. The original wheels look very period and correct on the car.
I am also a proud owner of an Arctisblau 86 M535i. My car has been repainted. To bring it back to former glory I want to add the original pinstriping ( grey / blue ). Can you tell me if the stripes go "round" the corner and on to the trunklid ? It was difficult to see from the pictures.

Really nice car you have. I also like the original style on the M535. Take a look at min cars if you interested. In sweden it´s the BBS split wheels that is the original wheels.

I LOVE IT!!!
Man that 5er is nice!!!! I the cloth blue sport interior is SO cool!! My euro 5 came with that interior only it was not the sport package though. That's just a real cool ride!! Very unique.
