Today I took the Mini (stock R57 S Convertible) out for my first ever auto-x. There was one other comparable Cooper S in the field (this car was an S with a JCW intake and exhaust). When driven by his owner, it ran at 59 seconds. When the owner's friend, a professional racer drove it, it went around at 51. My fastest time of the day was 54.9 which I was very happy with.

Get one of the instructors to either drive your car with you in it or ride in his. He will help you see just how hard you can push your car (Hint: it will be brutal)
Why sometimes I go a whole run and not hit a cone!
Not often, but it does happen.

Not bad for your first auto-x. Like others have said, if you didn't hit any cones all day, then you weren't driving hard enough. Video's always always looks slower and less aggressive than live, but with that said...e281985 wrote:Questions/Suggestions are welcome/appreciated!
