It's an awful kit applied to a late model Corvette, in an attempt to make it resemble the 1953 GM Nomad show car.

Damn I should have known you folks would know. Apparently the company that made/installed the kits is in my home town. That explains why I see a couple around town.

The body conversion done by Superior 54 is much cooler. Ive seen the body at a car show.

The biggest reason it looks wrong is because the factory B-pillar slopes towards the front. The one Dinan e28 posted looks nice though.

that may be more hideous then the mazda miata/bmw z3 kit i saw on the interstate once but more of a draw with the lebaron convertible/129 chassis SL mercedes i have seen a couple of :puke:

for those who have not witnessed the horror http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... true&rt=nc when you open the gas door you reach in around 6" and open the stock door to fuel it, ghetto

I saw the one of those (wouldn't doubt it's the same exact car) here in traverse city about a month ago. It was the weekend the great race started. There were a ton of sweet cars here that weekend. http://www.greatrace.com/

He thinks pretty highly of it but the only time he drives it is to bring it out for shows, and he has it at most every show in town. The novelty wore off after the first time. :roll:

Almost as bad are the body kits to make the new Camaros look like older Trans Ams, GTOs or '60's Camaros. Yuk.

I do like that Superior 54 Sport Wagon, although it's got a mighty high entry fee; $60k for just the body, glass & chrome. :shock:
