WTB: Parking brake kit

Post by Matt in SC »

this is probably a shot in the dark but my rear parking brakes are rusted pretty bad and starting to deteriorate.

looking for shoes, springs, adjusting screw, expanding lock, etc. everything shown here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=34&fg=30 minus the cable.

Mine were too and I bought everything you seek at either bavauto.com or pelican parts. Id tell ya for sure but im a little under the weather right now. dont sweat it, they are still available. even the bolts that hold it to the backing plate.

Ive got a pair of rust-free late trailing arms I could ship your way via Greyhound. Complete with working ebrake parts.

I've got the same as kohler, but only 200 miles up I-26. Willing to pull all the bits as well if you don't care to swap the trailing arms. FedEx home delivery can have them to you tomorrow as well...

Or, I have a need to be in Columbia, and could meet there to hand off (though with the 4th next week, I'd peter to stay off 26 east - too many beach bound vacationers from Tenn, Kentucky, & Ohio on a long weekend Friday).

PM coming your way.

Buy a set of the late trailing arms that are being offered here. You're trailing arm bushings probably need to be replaced anyway. This would be a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

thanks all.

sorry for my lack of knowledge but i'm assuming the trailing arm is similar to the front control arm but for the rear?

those with trailing arms please pm me your price with shipping to 29483.

right now i think i'm going to get the ebrake stuff new since it's not that expensive, unless you guys have some newer sets that you will let go for cheap. i prefer as new as possible since my rotors will be new.

thanks again.

Just buy them from Lee since he is so much closer and mine went in the trash today.

Good luck getting everything back together! :D
