Here's an update on the car. So far, polishing it up at the body shop and it looks satisfactory to my standards. I've also added a 16x8 E38 style 5s with 225/50 all around. Lowered the car (H&R Fronts/Stock coil rears that are both cut), and cleaned the inside. Also baselined the car somewhat but not entirely.
Thanks. I was pretty pleased by what I saw when I visited the car the first time. It should be done by tomorrow or Weds. I hope they don't ruin any retaining clips and such upon reassembly.
Sorry for the poor iphone quality pics but this is the end results of the car. The very first day she got home. New rondells installed shortly after taking the pic.
....and she looked like this when I first got her.
Thanks everyone! Super excited and I can't stop looking at it! So far I have cut H&R springs, Dinan ECU, 16" E38 wheels, K&N cone filter (sounds good), and new emblems and of course the paint.
Pending work: Remove tint, polish aluminum part of the bumper OR black it out somehow OR lipo, patch a hole in muffler, get the a/c working again, and a bunch of cluster light bulbs replacement.
Not much performance stuff per se. Just wanna keep this car clean and original.
anyone on here knows of a good product to polish all the aluminums of our cars? (bumper, window trim, etc...). as much as I would rather "shadowline," i think I might just keep it the way it is except polished up.

So this is what my car will look like in the near future.......
Can't wait....
I have a feeling that my paint although its lachssilber 203 that its a bit darker. Your's is the original color that I was expecting. But I'm happy with it either way!
I was actually just thinking of putting a black vinyl over the aluminum part instead. Like shadowlining. The oxidized metals makes the car look dirty despite the clean paint.
