"e28" M535i locations and information

Is there a place where owners of M535i could register their cars on this site??? If they want. We would be able to see about how many are around and locations and maybe even a picture or two all in the same place.
If not how do we do this????

Although the M Registry is a great resource, its not easy to tell whether the info is current (car has been sold, etc.). It would be interesting to see how many others on are this board. I can (very unofficially) think of about 8 -10 that I am aware of in the US and Canada.

I like this idea, get them all in one current place. Was not sure if anyone was interested in posting to this subject. Guess I was wrong. Glad we got it started....more please!:)
I know Dave has a nice one up in Washington, so maybe those pictures will show up if he reads this. The white ones are really cool. I need to update mine on the registry, since the car has some upgrades.

that's all I have left of my 85, that and the title...

John, do you happen to know DJ out there? He's on IMS and was the most recent SCCA pres. I believe he has a white M535i that just sits at Tim's speed shop.

I know of another one here in Denver. It's an '85, purchased new and imported when new, and still with the original owner. Pearl Beige interior, 5-speed. It has been treated to a restoration/refresh and is just a beautiful example. I don't think the owner is a member on this board, however.
Just posting this as an FYI that another one is "out there"

Jim: When I was buying mine from Mark Weber in Denver, he made mention of an Alpine M535 somewhere there in Denver. Not sure if he was talking about yours or this other mystery car.
It would be nice to track them down just so we can keep a record of these things.

It got runner-up in the BavAuto contest (which I didn't enter this year because it's rigged) last year. It's a nice car.
There's a couple more here in Phoenix that aren't mentioned.
There's Duke's old car, a Lachssilber/schwarz car and a white/cardinal car.
can we get them on here

I guess that begs the question whether this thread is reserved for just the E28 M535i or should it be open to the E12's?
Being that Chris might be the only one here with the E12 model (and two of them to boot), I'll leave that to Chris himself along with the other E28 owners posted here to decide.
