I'm selling my '84 528e, not really sure how to price it, I'm thinking $3000, I'm not super familiar with e28's though, I got it on a trade for '60 vw bus. The car is in Ocean City, NJ, here are the specs I know of:

3rd owner, i've only owned it since november. I took it in a trade, but don't really drive it much, I'm more of a VW guy...
148K
5 speed
sunroof
original radio
interior in great shape
all electronics work
wheels/tires in excellent shape
paint is great, minimal rust around front badge

$3k may be a little on the high side... maybe $2-$2.5k I would say.

Here's some more info, based on a PM question:

All the windows work, though one of the back ones is very slow going back up, I had to help it along.

A/C seems to work, though it's February in NJ so it's difficult to tell if its actually blowing cold air.

Heat is a little strange, the blower doesn't work except sporadically, though it works fine when you put on the A/C

The previous owners said they did timing belt, but one was mechanic so he did all the work himself, I don't have a mileage number or receipt to show.

I don't know if the clutch has ever been replaced, but it works 100% now

You've got two separate blower motors, one for each system.

I'm one that supports not giving these cars away, unless it's to me.
With that in mind, my opinion on pricing is;
based on your description and the pics, 3K is too much.
I'm thinking very high teens would be a good deal to the buyer,
mid to high 2s + would be good for the seller,
so somewhere mid way, even to low 2s would be fair to both.

How is the gearbox in this car. Does it shift well? Are there any issues with the way it drives? Were any of the suspension components replaced recently or do you think it's all original?
