This falls into the "wish-I-was-affiliated" category.

That thread the other day about a list of bimmers we wanted? Yeah - this was on my unpublished list.

Good luck with the sale Ryan - such an incredible car.

Great looking car..................those Germans were (are) some smokin fools.............two cigarette lighters needed.

[rant]Nothing like a German who gives you a rash of shit for not living and eating green followed by them lighting up and sucking down a cancer stick. Hypocritical A-holes.[/rant]

Beautiful and stunning e9, but that rear spoiler looks like it was made out of Playdoh and stuck on.

I would be all over this if I had the money. Hopefully it goes to a BMW enthusiast and not just some guy that thinks this car looks "cool."

Just saw this on BaT :( and figured it would show up here pretty quickly. I'm sorry that Ryan is in a position where he needs to sell this car. I recall that he sold his Alpina B9 to acquire this coupe.

This appears to be a very solid car mechanically that someone could enjoyably drive "as is" or spend some money on some cosmetic spiffs and have a real collector quality car. Fairly priced, IMO.

What in the hell are you talking about, and what does it have to do with this discussion?

It appears in this photo that there are two cigarette lighters- one on each side of the shifter.

The one on the right is the lighter. On the left is the wiper switch; twist to change wiper speed. '73 and up coupes got wiper delay on the same twist. Green? In 1973?

Really sucks to see this car move on. Never thought anyone would want to get rid of a gem like this, but if it's out of other necessity completely understand (gotta do what you gotta do).

Ryan: Glad to see that the car sold so quickly, if that's what you needed to have happen, but I can't say I'm surprised. It was a nice and interesting piece. Safe travels.

Kudos on the sale - that's one gorgeous e9.
The pic of her sitting in that tagged background has been set as my background for a few months now.
Hopefully the new owner will keep this board apprised of his/her adventures w/it.
And good luck in yours.
