Help with IP internals inspection: (New Link for Pics)
Posted: Aug 07, 2010 9:38 PM
EDIT: I didn't realize you had to be logged in to the Yahoo group to see the pics. I moved the pics to PhotoBucket.
This is my first IP rebuild. It really was cake to take apart. I was just hoping I could get some of you to maybe have a look at these parts and tell me if you think any of them need to be replaced. All signs point to bad fuel getting into it at some point. There was something sticky in a lot of places but not inside the pump itself. I'm not sure what is considered too dirty to be reused.
These pics were taken after the parts were soaking in clean diesel for a couple of days. The housing has been soaking in Xylene and scrubbed with a toothbrush. I was told not to touch some of the parts with my hands so I'm afraid to do too much scrubbing on the internals. This is as clean as I can get them so far. Any suggestions?

Also, if anyone has any part numbers for the internals it would help. I can get complete kits for the internals but they always list three kits with no reference to what pump they go in. I can go to my local diesel shop and ask but they like to give me shit when I go in there asking for things with no numbers. So, if no one has access to the Bosch catalog, I'll report back with numbers.
These are the numbers on the pump.
