That is a rather important detail. OOPS!

1:15 - you'll need enough gas for about 150 miles including the last leg from dinner to Niftee50ees.

Will be there for this one... might be able to make Nifty 50's too since I'll be in that area pretty much all day.

My biggest obstacle is no one in town seems to have an oil filter for my 535

Good thing I ordered one Sunday so I can have it by this Thursday even though they told me it'll be here TODAY :x

Niftee50ees is part of the plan, the grand finale.

Oil filter for the M30?
I've got about 5 on a shelf in my garage. :D

Borrowing from Houston's BMWCCA's Hair of the Dog Drive,
bring your FSR (Family Service Radio), if you have one.
Pay particular attention to the 1st and 2nd Q&A for the channel / sub channel will be using.

I'll be there in the e28 (it's first public debut), if my parts get here on time. If not I'll be in the e36 as a back-up.

got it... i corrected the map, but not the text. I used to go past the Loutta intersection frequently and it appears stuck in my head like gum in a running shoe.

Really...? I have no problems getting oil filters for my M5 at the local autozone!

I wish I could make it. I'm actually going to be headed to the Houston area for Mother's day weekend but since my wife and I both have divorced parents we get to make 4 stops. That will pretty much chew up a weekend.

Sounds like a great reason to take the last visit of Saturday out for dinner at the burgur place ;)

Well, my car's finally had it's first oil change under my ownership (bought last August, but oil was just changed when I picked it up; Drove about 2000 miles or so since then until today).

Search was most helpful on removing the oil-filter canister.. never seen one like it coming from M50's, M52's and M62's. Not too messy to remove after reading Krieger's "elite-method" of tilting before removing, but I did throw a spark against the back of the alternator taking it out.

Found the source of my ever-so-loud "Sproing!" noise from a few weeks back. Apparently the sway bar end link has decided to exit stage right on the passenger side. There was a bare ball on the end of the bar and an open loop on the end link :? When the noise happened, I swore a strut cup gave out, but everything looked fine so I dismissed it as the spring making some noise after being under a funny load on the really steep incline I drove it up prior.

Anywho, my whole body's sore as heck from two days of detailing but we're good to go. Be seeing you tomorrow!

Great turnout and great fun.
I even enjoyed the last leg riding shotgun with Jose.
Nice meeting you Shawn, and seeing the other faces again.

When the pictures get posted, you thread viewers can see why I rode shotgun.

BTW - I made it home about 9:30 after enjoying the ride back up with my wife in the Touring,
and about 15 minutes under the hood.
She really felt bad about not making the initial run,
but I'm glad now that she didn't.
This goes to prove that all things work out for good!

V@V and RTT are next.
Anybody?

I was going to do a small write-up on Eye Candy, but figured since I had so few pictures, that I'll just add them to a larger thread by one of you guys.

I made it home at 3am, dead tired and all kinds of beat up from breaking up those insulation bales all night for my friend after Mels.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that insulation chore you had.

I'd much rather had my second drive than actually having to go do some work. ;)
I bet you were tired.

Thanks for your contribution to the fun. :D
