:brick:

If you cant make a kit, and you cant afford a kit, you cant have a turbo car. Turbocharging is expensive. I want to bet that you cant afford to do it right, so the best advice is that you should not do it at all.

You don't place much value on your life do you ? I believe the Communist Chinese place significantly more value on a life than the cost of a TCD kit.

Since you had to ask, you can't afford it.

Aww, give him a break.

If we push him out of here, he's just gonna buy a honda and turbo kit from ebay. :puke:

Who says you got to be rich to have class?

wow nice thread.
original poster if you're still here, everything that "those fags" said is true, either you have to be able to afford a kit or make one yourself, because 1) there are no cheap kits(keep in mind, cheap means badly made, not necessarily inexpensive) for e28s, and 2) There are no inexpensive kits, and any business, financial, or economy student can tell you why.

So my advice is to throw a b35 in it, preferably from a late e24. And while you're at it get the diff as well, assuming its the 3.64lsd. That should be plenty.

I also agree that the b35 swap is great (barring you also swap the electronics), however, having done the swap, here I am building my turbo setup for the car. Having owned another turbo car, it is hard to beat the feel and performance of a well setup turboed car.
Anyway, this thread made me laugh. To the OP if you have actually read this thread again, remember that unintelligent and unprepared posts/questions will always illicit harsh yet sometimes witty responses at your expense. There is tons of info here and its not served on a silver platter.

The B35 swap sounds about as satisfying as the 2.7i and 5 speed conversion. If you want power, you're going to need more than a normally aspirated 12 valve motor from the 80's.

which turbo???

I think turbodan is on the right track. He is using a GT2871R . It is a ball-bearing turbo with fast spool-up and current turbo design. It is properly sized for the application and has lots of hp potential. He decided to do it right the first time. When building a turbo car one can't and shouldn't cut corners or "cheap out".
