hello i recently installed a 1992 m30b34 in my1987 535is allthough its got pretty good snatch and high rpm grunt, ive found myself at WOT still wanting more accelleration therefore i am considering a m102 turbo engine upgrade
i would appreciate any advice on the best set up (wich head and intake should i go with) as well as any constructive thoughts as to what i should expect (realisticly) HP wise

also will the chipped 059 box fit the 745i turbo engine harness

If you have an engine out of a '92 and it's the original engine, it would be an M30B35 and Shawn D. has indicated. Beyond that, the m102 engine is the earlier engine out of the E23 - the later engine is the m106. IMO you would do well to keep the engine you have and spend the money on a complete turbo system rather than buying used parts. Once you've upgraded the turbo from the m102 or m106 followed by designing and fabricating things to fit an E28 to a professional standard, you won't have saved much (if any) money. And unless you're very experienced and talented, you won't have a good result to show for your considerable efforts. For a few thousand dollars you can buy a turn key system that will deliver 300hp+ with new parts. You're kidding yourself if you think you can design, buy and fabricate the pieces for your car and arrive at an equivalent product while saving money.
